Nelson's Construction was founded in June 1947 in Redwood Falls, MN by Floyd Little as Floyd Little Homes. In 1972 Floyd's son-in-law took over the company and changed the name to Ray's Remodeling. In 2018 Floyd's grandson Nick Nelson took the helm and changed the name to Nelson's Construction. Since then Nick has built a solid team and has grown the company steadily into what is today one of Southern Minnesota's premier mid-market custom home builders focusing on homes between $1 million and $2.5 million.
Our projects are built with wholesome family values, old world craftsmanship and attention to detail typical of $5 to 10 million dollar homes.
We are based out of Chaska, MN but will be moving into a new office / showroom space in Chanhassen in July 2023.

Nick takes his love of incredible food and cooking to new heights when designing incredible feature filled kitchens that are the heart and soul of our homes and nothing makes you feel more at home than your own custom designed Master Suite. Our Master Suites are more than just a bedroom they are an oasis for the two of you to get away from the rest of the world to spend time with the love of your life.
We also have a remodeling division of the company that does additions, whole home makeovers, basements, kitchens, master suites, decks, porches and other outdoor living spaces.
